Challenge #4- The Three R’s

“How do you reduce, reuse and recycle at your home or school?” Askes Mrs. W for the 4th challenge of the 2009 Blogging Challenge.

My family and I reuse, reduce, and recycle by turning off lights when we leave a room, but sometimes my sister forgets and we have to remind her. My dad takes paper to his office to recycle, and he also reuses paper that my mom, sister, or I have used. I turn off or unplug my computer wen it is not in use to save energy, and I always open the blinds instead of reaching for the light switch. My family always reuses water bottles because water bottles take 700 years before they begin to decompose in a landfill.  At school, I recycle my water bottles. I always get the small water bottles because I know I can finish them, so I won’t be throwing away water that I couldn’t finish in lunch.

How does your family reuse, reduce, and recycle?
